hello world

2019 has not been a great fandom year for me so far--mostly-to-entirely to do with the new job and how it's been eating my entire life and energy but I miss fandom and this seems to be a large part of where it lives these days, so here I am.

I'm a little nervous about dreamwidth, mostly because I don't know the social protocols for this kind of long-form blogging platform, like, what constitutes over-sharing vs undersharing and when it is/isn't appropriate to comment on or react to someone else's post and in what ways, etc. But I'll try and give it a go. It'll be worth it to stay in touch with you lovely people. Also I do need a platform for writing updates, so....

Quite so, exactly!

(Hi, Muccamukk! You may know me as Antrodemus in fannish circles.)

I should mention that my Dreamwidth/ Livejournal is currently a therapy substitute for me, Silks, and I can filter you out of the TMI stuff, if desired... I tend to let it all hang out. Pretty much the only reason I'm f-locked is the sad fact of "Creepers gonna creep," and I personally try to mention if I don't want things talked about elsewhere... but that's just me.

I feel like, if someone knows you through Stony circles, the odds are pretty good that they have both ugly-cried and had a no-hands orgasm from reading your work, and have no basis to complain...

But yeah. I had the social anxiety thing until it completely broke my capacity for shame, and now I come in like Zaphod Beeblebrox after a Mary Oliver binge-read. I'd like to say it's better this way, but I honestly don't know. Shrugs.
